Ooty - Summer's Are Cold Here

After a long gap to our bike ride, one Friday night I force my friends ( Ajju, Nayeem & Pavan)  drive to somewhere despite the fact it was hot summer. So, there begins our quest. We decide to go Ooty. A perfect destination to chill during summer. Now comes what time to leave as we have to drive through "Nilgiri Forest Area"  Via Bandipur which remains shut during night hours. Its open from 6AM - 6PM. We couldn't start from Bengaluru before 7 AM as Pavan works at night shift & he couldn't come along anytime before to that timings. Inevitably, We started @ 7 AM on Saturday morning.

A trail inside Bandipur Forest

I was certain that this trip gonna bring back the joy which i was missing for last couple of months. We started up smoothly on a dusty road & the trail wasn't disappointing or tiring. Had lots of fun riding through the forest & fortunately we got to spot Whose & Elephant En-route. Though animals are the beautiful creatures of the planet but its spooky sometimes to get closer to them. Unfortunately, I couldn't capture any photos of them as its a reserve forest & pit stops were prohibited. Bandipur forest road was super bumpy &  it was a energy-filled ride.

Reached Ooty around 2PM & after a quick refresh we headed off to lunch. Now we are all triggered for this excursion.  First up we started with Botanical garden of Ooty which's in every tourist bucket list. This place looked ever lasting & its pleasant nature made us outlast more then we planned (as per itinerary). It was red & frosty weather which is how i exactly liked it to be. We dropped our vehicles @ room & commuted on foot to see the local market & lifestyle. Ooty is famous for chocolates & this is something that i absolutely indulge into. I picked up my phone & called my manager who's habitat was Ooty & he suggested me the best place to buy chocolates. Thanks to you sir & i really enjoyed munching them a lot.  We signed off for the day after having the best BIRYANI @ ooty which was pretty unexpected.

We guys are pretty flexible with sleeping hours so we decided to wake up early for the next day & ride towards Ooty lake as it was around 25 Kms approx from our stay. We drove & it was chillingly cold. I personally enjoyed a lot as i like cold temperature & it was a fulfillment & surreal at the same time to find the temperature falling to that extent during hot summer.

After all this , We decide to do a final activity as we have to leave by 4PM so that we can head back home on time as everyone has to Login next morning. We decide to do boating. I don't enjoy this one much ( Aquaphobia).  There was peddling boat & a deck boat. My less fascination towards this activity forced me vote for deck boat but my pals disagree. So, we decided to toss this thought & whoever wins will choose how we do this. Fortunately, I won but Unfortunately, Their choice was executed. It was dominance that won.We went on a peddling boat & i did something wicked. It was my turn to peddle & I crossed the "Danger Zone" this left us in panic & for the very first time i saw Mr. Nayeem trembling. HAHAHA... I was acting Clown. We rode out successfully.

Homecoming.....
